DEKRA will be showcasing ways to achieve a safe hydrogen economy and climate-neutral electric transportation at the 2022 Hannover Messe trade show in Hanover, Germany. The expert testing and certification organization will be exhibiting innovative future energy solutions to support industry and the wider public throughout this transformation. DEKRA specialists will be available in Hanover at the Energy Solutions Exhibition Zone (Hall 12) from May 30 to June 2, 2022.
The future belongs to renewable energy sources. After all, wind power, solar, biogas, and hydrogen technologies offer great potential to replace fossil fuels in virtually all industries. At the same time, designing, building, and operating the necessary infrastructure is a complex process. Independent DEKRA expertise is in demand for all aspects of safety associated with sustainable sources of energy: safety and risk analyses, inspections, conformity assessments, and certifications.
One key aspect is the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy, and DEKRA supports this process at every stage: climate-neutral wind and solar power generation, hydrogen production, and hydrogen storage and distribution via pipelines, on the road, by rail, and by boat. Other areas of activity include the safe use of electrolyzers, compressed hydrogen storage tanks and fuel cells in vehicles and systems, and the certification of climate-neutral hydrogen and its purity.
Another exhibition highlight from DEKRA at this year’s Hannover Messe will be electric transportation. The focus will be on solutions for a safe charging infrastructure and for ensuring that electric vehicles run smoothly. The number of EVs on the road is steadily increasing around the world, posing a challenge for the industry and service providers. Against this backdrop, DEKRA also offers advisory and training services around the use of high-voltage systems in motor vehicles.
