DEKRA now also offers assessments in Brazil in accordance with the TISAX information security standard. In doing so, DEKRA is creating the opportunity for Brazilian supplier companies to participate in the recognized platform of the automotive industry. A cooperation with industry organization IQA – ‘Instituto da Qualidade Automotiva’ will help to serve the Brazilian market in the most comprehensive manner.
TISAX is an information security standard spanning the entire value-added chain of the automotive industry. The assessment and exchange mechanism are based on the catalog of ISA requirements (Information Security Assessment) of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The expert organization DEKRA is officially accredited by the ENX Association, the operator of the TISAX program, and carries out corresponding assessments at automotive suppliers.
DEKRA has now signed an agreement with industry organization IQA – ‘Instituto da Qualidade Automotiva’ in order to open up the Brazilian market for TISAX. Created in 1995 by sector and government entities, IQA is a non-profit organization, focused on the development and dissemination of quality in the mobility sector, and with the objective of providing more security to the consumer, based on products, systems and people with quality assured through compulsory or voluntary certifications.
As an ENX-approved entity, DEKRA will carry out all of the steps relating to the assessment and the recognition process for TISAX assessments: definition of the requirements, appointment of the auditors and the associated recognition processes, management and documentation of the audits. IQA as an automotive quality association has extensive market know-how in Brazil and, in future, will assume responsibility for commercial and organizational activities related to the TISAX assessment process and provide support vis-à-vis vocational and further training.
